The project consists of returning the vacant commercial building into the residential space, as it once was. Great care has been taken to protect & enhance key elements of this heritage building, while converting it into a high-end home, situated within Newcastle’s city centre.
This project consists of a two-bedroom flat with interlinking stairs between two levels, accessed from the existing entry door at Watt Street. The flat is connected to the larger a five-bedroom residence, which incorporates open kitchens, living spaces, a study, bathroom and ensuites, accessed from the existing entry at Church Street. A new lift provides vertical access throughout the five-bedroom residence, with guest bedrooms to the ground & first floors and 3 main bedrooms to the second floor.
